Cow Killer, Velvet Ant

An ominous looking insect that is rumored to be able to inflict a sting so powerful, it can kill a cow. Bright red and deep black with thick furlike covering, it's actually a beautiful but dangerous wingless wasp. About the size of a regular sized hornet, they are very fast runners and rarely hold still enough to get a good photo.

Light Entities

This is one of many amazing photos I've taken of "Orbs" around our property. Some are very vivid and some are faint. All are very interesting and beautiful to examine and look at. I've photographed "Orbs" of every color and size. There is a beautiful peach colored Orb (on right) that shows up constantly. When it seems agitated, it vibrates.

Curious Raccoon

A curious raccoon watches diners from a tree next to a restaraunt on Jekyll Island Georgia, waiting for someone to throw a shrimp her way.

Giant Bananna Spider

This photo of a female, Giant Bananna Spider was taken in the forests of Jekyll Island Georgia during the fall season. The woods are filled with their huge webs and hikers and bikers have to be careful not to get entangled in them as they are stretched accross almost every hiking path. They are mildly poisenous, grow to almost the width of your hand and are closely related to Golde Garden Spiders, Orb Weavers.

Robber Fly kills Yellow Jacket

One day, a Robber Fly, which is a fly that catches and eats other insects, landed in front of me on a car door panel with a struggling Yellow Jacket Wasp in it's grip. It quickly dispatched the Yellow Jacket and began to devour it, at which time I grabbed my camera and snapped some closeups.

Jekyll Island Georgia, driftwood trees

This photo was taken on a gloomy November morning with storm clouds building on the horizon. This end of Jekyll Island has a unique beach covered with dead trees. Some have fallen from the Island and some are beached by storms. They are both beautiful and ominous and make for extremely good backdrops for weddings, celebrations and photoshoots of all types.

Red white and blue, Maple Leaf Galls

This is an interesting photo. It was the only leaf on the entire Maple tree that had these things on it. They're a tiny bug that works it's way between the layers of the leaf and sets up house bruising the leaf and causing it to deform into these very interesting colors.

Fairyscape

Included in J. Michael Tracy's Stock Photography is a Photo Art fantasy world of Neon and Florescent Mushrooms, of Faries and Wizards, of Witches and Ice. This piece of original photo art was created from various fungi found around a strange rock formation that protrudes from the ground in the middle of the eastern Atlanta suburbs called Stone Mountain. Surrounded by lakes, it has a profusion of flora and fauna unique to it's own eco system. I added my take on what "could be" after dark, where tiny fairies and other makers of magic appear with the mystical energies that eminate from this granite moutain.
